The details

The happy couple:

Ashleigh and Elliott

The date:

29th July 2016

The location:

High House Farm Brewery, Northumberland

When we initially met Ashleigh and Elliott at a wedding fair, they already had a photographer in mind for their wedding, but one conversation with us was enough to change their minds.

They had booked High House Farm Brewery near Matfen. The great thing about this venue is that it’s different each time you photograph there because it’s a working brewery and farm.

They decided to do everything themselves. The definition of a DIY wedding. They made all the table decorations themselves, they made the table plan themselves and they even picked the flowers themselves. This had all the makings of a fabulous wedding and it didn’t disappoint.

Ashleigh was very relaxed when we arrived on the morning. She enjoyed getting ready by herself with the bridesmaids in another room.
There was time for a few more photographs before Ashleigh and her father hopped into their Jeep and celebrated the moment with a glass of champagne.
Elliott was waiting patiently when Ashleigh arrived. They book look incredible as their outdoor ceremony took place in the open barn area.
We did minimal group photographs after the ceremony which meant the guests enjoyed some time to mingle and chat.
After the meal it was time to do some more photographs with the bridal party. We used everything available to us at the barn, including this awesome tractor.
We headed about 5 minutes drive away to a lovely field for their couple portraits. Simple instructions were "head into that field and have a cuddle."
We had a great time capturing a sparkler tunnel shot before heading in for the cutting of the cake.
After the first dance was over, it was time for the guests to party!
