We first met Heather and Robyn at The Baltic’s wedding open day back in 2018. They were getting married in the Six Restaurant in what was going to be very much a wedding that wasn’t a wedding.

They wanted something very laid back which is why they chose us. They weren’t having many guests and the plan was the head off to Flint Pizza in Heaton for a very low key evening do.

We typically know what to expect from most weddings, but they’d pitched this as something that was going to bunk tradition, so with this one, we had no idea what to expect.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because of the HUGE pink wall we used inside the Baltic for some of the couple portraits.

We began the day at the Baltic as guests arrived. Flowers were handed out to every guest ready for the ceremony.
Once everyone had their seats, Heather and Robyn made their grand entrance.
It was a lovely ceremony, nice and simple and not a white dress in sight.
After the ceremony, Heather and Robyn spent some time greeting their guests. There were a lot of hugs exchanged as the canapes made their way around.
Outside on the observation platform, it was basically the time for goofing around as guests had a lot of fun with the photographs.
Next we headed downstairs to capture some images of the newlyweds together. They didn't want to spend a long time away from their guests, so we were down and back in ten minutes.
The chefs had prepared a gorgeous meal but we still had time for some speeches.
After Heather and Robyn had cut their cake, the guests tucked into their fantastic dinner.
After the meal at the Six, guests made their way over to Flint Pizza for a very low key after party.
This was our kind of wedding. A super relaxed atmosphere and incredible food.
You can see by the images and the wine glasses that it was a super chilled vibe and the perfect way to end a lovely, relaxed day.
