Photographer(s):

Shazia and Chris

It was the summer of sun as this year’s momentum continued to build and in July we found ourselves at Stanton Hall Garden and Plant Nursery for Holly and Jon’s big day.

Holly and Jon are an awesome couple. They’re exactly our kind of vibe and their wedding was right up our street.

Shazia’s love of plants had her giddier than a child at Christmas. Chris’ love of all things cool along with a couple who said they’d do (just about) anything for us meant the scene was set.

This truly was one of the finest weddings we’ve ever had the privilege of being part of.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because the wedding takes place at a garden and plant nursery. Simple.

Chris began the day with Jon at his family home. Their back garden made a lovely setting for Jon suiting up.
Holly meanwhile was with her family and the girls. It was a lovely moment when her dad arrived as they both enjoyed a laugh and some tears.
Holly and her father made their way over to the venue as guests arrived and Jon had a couple of nerves settling in.
It was all worth the wait once Holly made her way down the aisle as they both burst into happy tears.
It was a stunning, super relaxed ceremony to celebrate the new bride and groom.
After a confetti shot, guests made their way over to the reception area which gave Shazia chance to squeeze in some couple portraits before the ceremony room was turned around.
Guests were very much in the mood to party. As canapés were served, guests were treated to some live music.
It was time for the afternoon couple portraits as we headed into the Garden centre to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
It was time for Isla, their beautiful dog, to join the party. She was so excited and ready for some photographs.
Guests were seated and warmly greeted our newlyweds for the wedding breakfast.
After the cutting of the cake, it was time to head out for their second couple portrait session.
Holly and Jon were both so laid back and relaxed in front of camera. They were so comfortable with us and had a great time being photographed, which comes across in the images.
Back at the party, guests were enjoying some garden games.
Before we knew it, it was time for the first dance...
... followed closely by the father/daughter dance.
We thought that would be it for couple portraits, but as the night sky set in, we couldn't help but make the most of the gorgeous light.
That wasn't all. Guests were relaxing and unwinding while enjoying some lovely pizzas from the stone baked pizza van. For us, we were enjoying the last moment of sunlight with our new Mr and Mrs Lee.
