When you plan a wedding, make it all the way through covid and finally get to the week before your wedding, only to find that one of the most powerful storms we’ve ever seen is heading to the UK on the weekend of your wedding, what would you do?

Well for James and Gemma, this one was kind of out of their hands and they can thank their lucky stars that their wedding went ahead because almost every other venue in the North of England had power cuts.

What was amazing is that at Yorkshire Wedding Barn, you would never had known because everyone had the most amazing day.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because the wedding took place on the weekend of Storm Arwen.

The whole day was down at Yorkshire Wedding Barn, so when we arrived, Chris headed over to see James and the lads.
Shazia was with the girls upstairs in the venue.
Everyone was in great spirits and were having a great time.
As the ceremony drew close, it was time for everyone to get ready.
James was eagerly waiting for Gemma to arrive and wow it was worth the wait.
It was a crazy ceremony. Everything was lovely, while you could see the storm outside blowing a gale through the glass windows.
Guests were having a great time inside and when the wind settled down a little, we headed outside for some couple portraits.
It was a bit chilly and you can clearly see how windy it was in some of the images, but they total rocked the windswept look.
Back inside and warmed up once again, it was time for their announcment into the breakfast room.
The speeches went down a storm and guests were in a relaxed mood and ready to party.
It was time for the party to really start but not before the cutting of the wedding cake.
You can just tell what a great crowd this was.
Everyone was having so much fun and really enjoying the party atmosphere.
