The details

The happy couple:

Paul and Angie

The date:

27th August 2019

The location:

South Causey Inn (Old Barn), Co. Durham

We first met Paul and Angie at a wedding fair at the Metro Radio Arena back at the start of 2018. They were looking for a photographer that would fit into their day. Someone relaxed who would get on with their guests and after chatting at the fair, they got in touch shortly after to confirm they’d like to book.

They’d chosen the old barn at the South Causey Inn in as their venue. It’s a lovely venue that we’ve photographed several times in the past. It’s a beautiful setting and the food is amazing. What more can you ask for?

There were some incredibly dramatic clouds in the sky on their wedding day, so Shazia headed out to capture an awesome day.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because of Angie’s incredible custom designed, leather jacket that she had made for the wedding.

Shazia began the day with Angie who was getting herself ready at the South Causey Inn.
She was getting ready with her bridesmaids.
Her dress, her flowers, everything was absolutely perfect.
Paul was patiently waiting for Angie to arrive and he managed to get some help from a lovely little owl who carried the rings.
Outside the sun was shining as guests gathered their drinks and made the most of the sunshine.
In typical Choc Chip spirit, we gave guests plenty of time to mingle and enjoy themselves.
The drinks were flowing and guests were having a great time catching up.
It represented a perfect time for Shazia to sneak the newlyweds off for a few photographs. Look at Angie's incredible jacket design. Fantastic.
Back in the old barn, guests were seated ready for the speeches.
Paul Lytton arrived after the meal to provide some magical entertainment for the guests.
Again, Shazia took Paul and Angie away for a short couple session. Just look at those clouds!
After having fun over by the lake, it was time to head back and join the party.
The magic mirror and casino tables were up and running with guests having a great time.
After the cake cut it was time for the first dance and with the help of a smoke machine, it was just the most incredible setting.
That wasn't it though. Once it went dark, guests made their way out onto the terrace ready for the fireworks.
Was an absolutely incredible display put on by the fireworks team. Truly magical.
