We met Simon and Megan at a wedding fair back in 2018 and after chatting to us, they both felt completely comfortable with us and decided to book us to capture their big day.

They’d chosen Le Petit Chateau as their venue. We’re no strangers to the chateau. It’s a fantastic venue in the heart of Northumberland and we just love photographing there.

They are such a cute couple who are clearly madly in love and that really came across on camera. We couldn’t wait to capture their day..

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen after their little corgi dog Bertie.

Chris began the day upstairs with Simon, before heading outside as Tim, the master of ceremonies, pinned the button holes on the suits.
As you can, see chapel in the chateau looks incredible, decorated beautifully with sunflowers.
Shazia was in the apartment with Megan, who had her whole family with her including her little doggy Bertie.
Everyone was having fun while they were being pampered.
Megan looked incredible in her dress and her father was one proud dad.
Downstairs guests were making their way into the chapel ready for Megan's arrival.
It wasn't all smiles initially, as some very overwhelmed flowers girls made their way down the aisle.
Simon however, was beaming like a cheshire cat.
After the ceremony, we all made our way outside for a group photograph of everyone off the balcony.
Bertie was the star of the show and made his way into lots of photographs.
Guests were having a great time catching up with each other.
It was time for the speeches, but not before our newlyweds made a grand entrance into the breakfast room.
It was another emotional set of speeches, which drew plenty of laughs from the guests.
After the meal it was time to head out for some more couple portraits. The sun was really beaming as it started to set.
In typically August fashion, just after the sunshine is started to rain, and we absolutely took advantage of it.
Back inside it was time for the cake cut and first dance to cap off all of the formalities for the evening.
