Gemma and Phil had been guests at a wedding we photographed back in 2015, but we first met Gemma properly at the Metro Radio Arena wedding fair in January 2017 when she came along with Emma, our old bride.

They had chosen Le Petit Chateau in Otterburn for their venue. At the time of booking, we hadn’t yet photographed there, but they were more than happy with us and our work to go ahead.

Gemma came back into the studio a week or two later with Phil so that we could all meet each other, and without hesitation, they chose to book with us…

Shazia began the day with Gemma and the girls getting ready up at the chateau in the bridal suite.
The whole mood was very chilled and relaxed as the girls had their hair and makeup done before popping into their dresses.
After some drink and selfies, Gemma and her bridesmaids then headed upstairs so that Gemma could put on her dress.
It was an emotional moment when Gemma's dad came in to see her for the first time.
Downstairs Phil was waiting patiently and it's true to say that his patience was absolutely rewarded.
As the ceremony finished, guests headed outside for a handful of group photographs before going off to mingle.
With the sun shining and guests relaxing, we took the opportunity to grab a handful of photographs with the newlyweds before sending them off to have fun.
As you can see, it was a very relaxed day and Shazia just pottered around capturing everyone enjoying themselves.
With guests having had plenty of time to relax and catch up, we all headed inside for the speeches and wedding breakfast.
The speeches were thoroughly entertaining, capped off with a lovely gift for Gemma from the best man.
After the meal, we took Gemma and Phil down to the infinity lake for some more couple photographs.
Guests were clearly loving life up at the chateau and they happily joined Gemma and Phil on the dance floor after their first dance to welcome their band for the evening based on the Jersey Boys.
