The location:

Woodhill Hall, Northumberland

Chris and Shazia

We first met Danni and Phil…

They chose Woodhill Hall in Otterburn, Northumberland as their venue for their big day. They were looking for somewhere with a tipi and ended up falling in love with Woodhill because of it’s beauty, quirkiness and it’s atmosphere. They also wanted the exclusivity.

We love Woodhill Hall too. It’s constantly changing so as photographers, it’s great that you never know what you’re going to get. Danni and Phil are fab so we were really looking forward to this one.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen after the beautiful handmade arch at the front of the ceremony room that one of the guests constructed and the groom put together the night before.

We began the day with Shazia going in to see Danni while Chris headed to Phil and bumped into the local pussycat on his travels.
Phil had been feeling really nervous all morning, so we kept everything nice and relaxed so that the lads could get ready in peace.
Over with the girls, gifts were being handed out and lots of hugs and congratulations on offer.
The ceremony took place in the orangery until the lovely arch way.
As you can see, there were a few tears from the couple and the guests.
Outside we rattled through the group photographs before we headed off to do some couple portraits.
Danni and Phil were both great in front of camera. So relaxed and settled straight into the swing of things.
Back in the main house, guests were having a great time before sitting down for the speeches.
There were some excellent speeches, resulting in a whole mix of emotions.
The best man stole the show, nailing his speeches to a huge round of applause.
After the meal, we headed out again for some more couple portraits outside the cabins.
Back inside the tipi, guests were well into the swing of the evening and it wasn't long before Danni and Phil has their first dance as husband and wife.
Outside, the family were doing their upmost to climb on top of the snow dog outside, much to everyones amusement.
