While having your wedding postponed due to the pandemic isn’t ideal, some things are just worth the wait, aren’t they?

Olivia and Rob had to wait nearly 14 months longer than planned to have their big day but when it finally arrived, it came at a time when everyone needed it.

Their wedding was one of the first “full capacity” weddings to take place once restrictions lifted. Guests had been coop’d up inside for over a year and this day was not only about their wedding day, but about everyone coming together to have a really good time.

You can see it in the vibe of the day too. Everyone was just really happy to be back mixing and catching up. This day had so much to it and it got better as the day went on.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because of the surprise fireworks display that turned into an impromptu rave in the smoke.

While Chris was with the lads on the morning, Shazia was busy at the South Causey with Olivia and her bridal party.
Poppy, their little pooch, was the star of the show, making sure she made her way into every photograph possible.
Olivia looked absolutely stunning in her Hayley Paige dress.
Rob, understandably, was completely emotional seeing Olivia walk down the aisle.
Once the ceremony was over, it was time for guests to relax and catch up.
It really was a party atmosphere as the newlyweds made their way into the breakfast room.
After the wedding breakfast, we made sure to capture some lovely couple portraits, including Poppy, who of course clearly had lots of practice posing for the camera.
We decided to take Rob and Olivia off into the nearby woods and what a stunning setting.
Such an amazing couple who photographed so well and had clearly embraced the "climbing through the mud and soggy leaves" brief.
Back at the Old Barn, it was time for our final formalities. Cake cutting, father-daughter dance and Rob and Olivia's first dance as husband and wife.
While guests were busy enjoying themselves in the photobooth, the casino tables and a spot of karaoke, there was still one final surprise in store.
Olvia's parents had organised a surprise fireworks display. What we couldn't have counted on was the fog descending over the courtyard just as the fireworks started. We encouraged Rob and Olivia to have a little dance (for the photographs) and then all their guests joined them for a huge dance under the fireworks.
