Chris & Shazia

Chelsea and Anthony first found us through Facebook and felt that our relaxed style was exactly what they were looking for.

They chosen Sandburn Hall in York as the setting for their wedding day. We’d never photographed there before, but Chelsea and Anthony had a really cool, unique style and when they’d told us about their plans we couldn’t wait to be a part of their wedding.

Let’s see how they got on…

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen after the little cactus they were gifted on the morning.

Chris began the day with Anthony who was getting ready nearby the venue.
Things picked up a little once his family arrived and a few gifts were exchanged.
Shazia was with Chelsea, who was running a little late from the salon which gave Shazia chance to capture those little details.
Chelsea had opted for a really cool black leather jackets which worked perfectly with her bouquet.
It was an emotional time as Chelsea and her dad had a lovely hug before setting off to the venue.
Inside the venue, guests had taken their seats and everyone was ready for the bridal party to make their entrance.
You can tell by the look on Anthony's face that he couldn't hide his happiness at seeing Chelsea walk down the aisle.
Outside, we fired through the group photographs so everyone could go off an enjoy themselves. It gave us chance to capture so more images of their beautiful dog, Luna.
We had a quick twenty minutes with the newlyweds before the daylight disappeared, capturing some lovely images of them together in the fading light.
The light was just perfect and we took them inside to make use of the amazing windows in the reception room.
Back inside, guests had taken their seats which gave Chelsea a chance to present her dad with a lovely gift.
They say that people make the difference on a wedding day and the speeches were one of those occasions when that was the case.
The party quickly kicked up a gear and before long guests had poured onto the dance floor for a dose of the Macarena.
There was a brief pause as guests gathered around the dance floor to join Chelsea and Anthony for their first dance.
There were lots of hugs and selfies as the party continued well into the evening.
Outside, we'd pretty much captured everything we wanted to, so it gave us chance to pay around with some cool light painting for a few more couple portraits.
