We originally met Jill and Jonny at the Metro Radio Arena wedding fair in January 2018. They were both fans of our laid back approach and loved the relaxed style of our images. After a chat in the studio they felt we’d be the perfect fit for their day.

They chose Middleton Lodge for the venue. We’d never been there before but had heard great things about it and with them both in front of the camera, it gave us the perfect opportunity to capture our first wedding there.

It was a February wedding and with that brought the back end of the winter chill, but we wrapped up, put our big boy pants on and headed out to capture their amazing day.

Where the wedding name came from:

Mysterious Girl was their first dance song, which was brought about because Jonny sang Mysterious Girl to Jill on their first date.

We started off nice and early down at Middleton Lodge. After Jonny had finished blow drying the sweat patches under his arms, we final got the lads together for some photographs of them all getting suited and booted.
Jill meanwhile was upstairs with the girls having a nice relaxing morning.
Outside, guests started to arrived as the double decker buses were sat waiting to take guests over to the church nearby.
It was a little emotional upstairs as Jill's dad came in to see her.
At the church it was all smiles as Jill arrived to see Jonny for the first time.
After the longest confetti line ever achieved, we all headed back to Middleton Lodge for an afternoon of drinks and canapés.
We snuck the newlyweds out early for their couple photographs, giving them the rest of the afternoon to mingle.
As you can see, everyone was having a great time chatting away. We hated to break up the party but there was a wedding breakfast to be had.
Guests took their seats for the meal and the room looked incredible. Such a great job with the decor.
After the meal the speeches took place. There were plenty of laughs to be had from friends and family.
The best man pulled an ace out of his sleeve by producing a guitar for his speech.
The crowd were loving it and once the speeches were over the guests headed out for some treats, cigars and conversation around the fire pits.
Now that they'd had a little more to drink, we took the opportunity to take Jill and Jonny out for a few more photographs of them both together.
Back in the Fig House, guests were primed and ready as the newlyweds made their way back and had their first dance.
After an amazing first dance to Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl, guests had no hesitation joining them on the dancefloor.
The party wasn't don e yet, as guests made their way back over the the basement in the Main House for some karaoke.
