We’ve known Emma for a long time when she used to work with Shazia many years ago. We got to know of Phil a little over time and it was a genuine honour when they got in touch and asked us to photograph their wedding for them.

They chose the Durham Suite at the South Causey Inn for their day. They had a very unique vision for the day in which they would transform an already beautiful venue into their own, unique wedding setting.

They already loved their pre shoot photographs, so with cameras at the ready we headed out to capture their day…

Chris started the day with Phil and the boys getting ready at home.
Shazia on the other hand was at the South Causey Inn where Emma was getting ready with the girls.
Having photographed several weddings before among the friends group, everyone was very comfortable with us from the get go.
It was a lovely moment as Phil shed a tear when he saw Emma for the first time.
Given their laid back sense of humour, the ceremony was also filled with plenty of laughs to keep everyone entertained.
After the ceremony was over, guests had a mingle and a catch up as we took Emma and Phil out for some couple portraits before it got dark.
They'd hired this awesome heart which we just had to include in a few of the photographs.
We also made our way into the vintage shop at the South Causey, which provided a great backdrop for some really quirky setups.
Back inside with guests, the drinks were flowing as everyone took their seats for the speeches.
A great set of speeches followed which provided us all with some laugh out loud moments.
After the wedding breakfast, guests headed outside where a shisha bar had been set up for the everyone to enjoy.
As you can see, the evening was well into full swing.
It was such a relaxed vibe that Emma and Phil had gone for and you can clearly see the guests enjoying themselves more and more as the night went on.
