The details

The happy couple:

Melissa and Kelly

The date:

18th February 2019

The location:

Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Kelly and Melissa first met us when we photographed their friend’s wedding last August in Newcastle. They were both very impressed with our approach as well as the finished images and contacted us to capture their day.

They chose Jesmond Dene House for their special day. They were having quite a small wedding over only a few hours, so it was a very small and intimate wedding.

With Kelly at the venue and Melissa travelling over in the campervan, Shazia began the day at Jesmond Dene House waiting for the girls to arrive.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name for their wedding came from two awesome brides holding with favourite doggy in all the world… Barney Winston Thirkeld the First

Kelly was upstairs in the bridal suite with her family.
There was a lot of emotion on the day, both from Kelly's mum and her bride to be.
It was all laughs once Kelly and Melissa were together at the bottom of the isle.
Friends played a huge part in their day, with a lovely reading from one of the bridal party.
After the ceremony was over, we hopped outside for a confetti shot and then it was the turn of their beloved dog, Barney Winston.
Clearly the love of both of their lives, Barney was the star of the show before we took them off for some couple portraits.
Both Kelly and Melissa are amazing and you can see how well their chemistry came across on camera.
