We initially met Ankita and Rob at a wedding fair in Durham. We had another couple interested in the same date so after checking out some images we’d photographed at a previous asian fusion wedding, they were completely sold and booked on the spot.

They chose Beamish Hall for their setting. The plans was to have two ceremonies. One would be western with the other hindu. Not only that, but we were expecting 200-300 guests.

Rob and Ankita received 1900 photographs. Here’s is a small flavour of their amazing day…

We began the day with Chris photographing Rob getting ready. He received a lovely watch from Ankita which he opened before having a quick drink with the lads.
Ankita was getting ready at Beamish Hall with Shazia. She looked incredible in her dress for the Western Ceremony in Sunderland.
Rob was eagerly waiting as Ankita arrived with her father.
After the ceremony, there was time for a quick confetti shot outside the church before heading over to Beamish for some group photographs.
We then had a quick ten minutes to capture some couple portraits before they headed inside to get ready for the Hindu ceremony.
By mid afternoon, more guests had arrived in time for the Baraat.
Dohl drummers let the precession towards Beamish Hall with Ankita's family eagerly waiting their arrival.
Back inside, the Hindu ceremony provided a colourful spectacle and made for some great photographs.
Now that all the formalities were over, the guests had more time to mingle before the bride and groom made their entrance to the Cantina Band song from Star Wars.
Once the speeches were over it was time for the music to start and guests to hit the dance floor.
