He was trained at the prestigous Newborn Art Academy, where he learned to how safely handle newborn babies, specifically for newborn photography.
Safety first – Your newborn baby is the most precious thing in the world. Chris understands this, which is why he’s fully pediatric first aid trained. This way, your baby is literally in the safest possible hands.

Step 01

Before your Newborn Photoshoot

We make the whole process of booking in very simple.
Ideally, it’s best to pre-book in for your session in advance (if you can). This will guarantee your session once your baby has arrived.
When you pre-book, Chris will arrange to have a video consultation with you before baby arrives (see below).
Don’t worry if your baby has already arrived. Just reach out Chris and he’ll see if he can squeeze you in.
We only take a £50 deposit to pre-book your session with us.
We don’t pre-book any specific dates before your baby is born. We do this once your baby arrives. By pre-booking, you’re simply reserving a slot in our diary. This guarantees your newborn photoshoot once your baby arrives.

Once you’ve paid your deposit and booked your place with us, we will arrange a video consultation with you to discuss your session ahead of time.

Your Newborn Photography Session

Step 02

All Newborn Photoshoots take place at our stunning Newcastle upon Tyne studio.
We found that photography sessions are best suited between 7 and 14 days, although up to 3-4 weeks old is usually fine for a newborn shoot. We will discuss this with you once baby has arrived.
Once your baby arrives, we will arrange a specific date to suit us both.
We will typically aim to book your session around other appointments you might have to help make life easier for you.
A 2-3 hour photography session is quite typical for a newborn baby.
Sibling, family photos and pet portraits are also included as part of your session. The more members of your little family you have, be sure to bring them along.
The aim is to capture a selection of beautiful images of your little family that you can treasure forever.

Step 03

After Newborn Photoshoot – Your Viewing Experience

Your viewing experience is when you return to our studio to view your images and choose which ones you would like.
Chris, our family photographer, will chat with you about your options and guarantee that you leave happy.
We don’t offer set packages or bundles as such. Instead we work on a more flexible “pick the images you want” basis. This keeps everything more relaxed so you can enjoy your session and choose the images you love to take away with you.
