A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

ABOUT Chris

Hey, I’m Chris and I’m definitely the talker out of the two of us. It’s fair to say that I’m a people person. I love meeting people, chatting with people and photographing people.

The real payoff for me is when our couples and families receive their photographs and they are over the moon.

Whether it’s a wedding day filled with memories or a studio session. Knowing how much our images mean to people, their families and friends is a huge payoff.

The significance of our images goes way beyond our clients.

Behind the lens

I love watching films and have done my entire life. I love going to the cinema. I love watching films at home. It’s a big part of who I am.

We adore our cats too (well, any cat for that matter) so a night in with the cats on the bed having a movie night is my happy place.

I also enjoy walking, cycling, building Lego, playing DnD and travelling together with Shazia.

ABout SHAZIA

Hey, I’m Shazia — the quieter, sneakier half of Chocolate Chip Photography.

On a wedding day, you’ll barely notice I’m there… but I’ll be everywhere. I love blending into the background, capturing all the real, in-between moments without disrupting the flow of your day.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. I originally went to uni to study film, hoping to become a film director and that’s actually where I met Chris. A year after finishing my master’s in film production, Chocolate Chip Photography was born.

My style draws from my passion for art, music, and film, especially in editorial and portrait photography. Over time, some of my images have been published internationally, which has helped me refine how I see and capture moments. At weddings, I focus on being present and thoughtful, capturing authentic, meaningful moments with a creative eye—moments that feel natural and honest rather than staged.

Behind the lens

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually off adventuring — often on a motorbike, chasing new places, fresh air and that feeling of freedom.

That said, I’m just as happy at home, pottering in the garden with a coffee in hand, cats sunbathing nearby, and houseplants quietly taking over every corner of the house. Chris still hasn’t noticed just how many we have… and I’m not about to tell him.

Even when I’m not working, I’m often behind a camera — experimenting with new techniques, testing lighting and composition, or trying out different creative ideas. It’s something I do to keep learning and stay inspired, which naturally feeds back into the work I do at weddings. Photography isn’t just a job for me; it’s how I see and understand the world.
