There’s a few things you can always guarantee when it comes to same sex weddings. Great couple, great guests and something a little different. David and Steven organsied a day that promised us all three and boy did they deliver!!

They married at Ellingham Hall, a venue we’d visited many time before and while our experience of the venue definitely came in handy, this was a day unlike any other we’ll photograph there again.

We all had some grand plans for the day and the stage was set for us to capture the most amazing couple on the most amazing day.

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because of everything about their big day, but especially the colours of the smoke grenades. They looked fabulous!!

David and Steven were both getting ready at Ellingham Hall after spending the night before there.
While David and Steven were getting ready upstairs, their lovely bridal party were getting themselves ready downstairs.
They looked incredibly sharp in their suits, with a little help from Youtube with the bow ties.
Everyone was ready and the ceremony was allowed to proceed once 'Ring Security' had made their way down the aisle with the rings.
I think Steven and David would both agree that they're quite emotional and it really was a lovely moment when they were announced as the new Mr and Mr Hughes.
As emotional as they are, they're also a super fun couple, as shown here when Shazia grabbed them for a few couple portraits on the stairs.
While guests relaxed and mingled inside, we snuck them off for some couple portraits around the venue.
Time goes so quickly on a wedding day and before we knew it, it was time for the speeches.
The photographs say it all... lots of laughs and lots of tears.
They really were a great bunch of guest and everyone enjoyed themselves having a right laugh.
After the meal, it was time for the smoke bombs. David and Steven has specifically chosen the PRIDE coloursand they looked fabulous on camera.
The evening was upon us. First it was the cake cut and before we could do the first dance, it was time for a game of Mr and Mr.
Once the first dance was over, it was time for the drag queens!!
Guests were treated to an unbelievable performance by Tess Tickle and Emma Roid.
The costumes and the whole show was incredible! Guests had a great time with them, especially when Proud Mary got everyone up on the dancefloor.
