Shazia

We first met Sarah many years ago when she used to work with Shazia in a past life. We of course stayed in touch and when Sara messaged to say she was getting married, we jumped at the chance to capture her day. It’s always nice when you get to photograph a friend’s wedding and this was no different.

They picked The Treehouse at Alnwick Gardens for their venue. We met Adam before the wedding and all got on really well. Sara trusted Shazia completely and had no hesitation in letting her capture the day the way she felt best.

It was a later ceremony at the treehouse, so we turned up at a holiday cottage around mid afternoon to capture Sara and her family getting ready.

Where the wedding name came from:

They had a room with lots of party games in, including… a Hook a Duck…

We started the day with Sara at a cottage nearby. Everything was nice and relaxed as everything had a bite to eat then began getting ready.
Sarah looked incredible in her dress and headed outside with Shazia for a few photographs before it got dark.
Adam was waiting patiently at the treehouse for Sara to arrived and look great himself dressed in his military uniform.
It looks so beautiful inside the treehouse restaurant and the whole vibe of the wedding was just laid back and chilled.
It quickly got dark outside so guests headed indoors for drinks and canapés.
After the meal was over, there were a few party games for guests to enjoy.
Sara and Adam had a beautiful first dance before Sara's dad joined her for a dance of their own.
As you can see, once the formalities were over, it was party time on the dancefloor and we managed to sneak the newlyweds outside for one more amazing photograph together to cap off an awesome day.
