We first met Johanna and Gavin at a wedding fair at the Metro Radio Arena back at the start of 2019. They were looking for something very relaxed and after chatting at the wedding fair, they emailed a few days later to confirm their booking.

They’d chosen Le Petit Chateau in Otterburn as their venue. We’d photographed there several times in the past so we knew our way around and also some of the great, unique places to photograph.

They both decided to get ready at the venue which made things nice and simple. With Chris and Shazia both capturing their day, Chris went off with the lads and Shazia with the girls.

Let’s see how they got on…

Where the wedding name came from:

The name was chosen because Johanna’s bridesmaid sang their first dance with the band.

Le Petit Chateau is a beautiful setting. Tucked away in the heart of Northumberland, it always offers a fantastic photography experience whenever we're there.
Upstairs in the hotel rooms, the lads were all getting ready with Chris.
While downstairs in the apartment, Johanna and the girls were getting ready and having a right laugh with Shazia.
Once Gavin was safely downstairs, Johanna moved up to the bridal room to get herself into her dress.
I think we can all agree, Johanna looked in credible. Such a beautiful dress and her bridesmaids shed a tear on seeing her.
Skipping forward, Gavin had waited patiently and after a lovely ceremony, they were announced as husband and wife.
Outside, we rattled through a handful of group photographs before sending the guests off to mingle.
With the daylight quickly disappearing, we headed around the grounds with our newlyweds capturing some lovely images of them both together.
It gave them some time by themselves which is always important on a wedding day.
Inside the venue, the guests were busy enjoying themselves and eagerly awaiting our newlyweds for some selfies.
The speeches were very much an emotional affair, with laughs and tears aplenty.
With the sun already set, we headed outside after the meal to capture some cool images of our couple together and before we knew it, it was time to cut the cake and toss the bouquet.
A very happy guest caught the bouquet and then it was time for the first dance, beautifully sang by Johanna's bridesmaid.
The band were awesome and guests piled onto the dancefloor.
As Johanna partied inside with the girls, Gavin was outside with the lads smoking cigars for our final images of a fantastic day.
