We’ve known Carl since our university days and although we’d not spoken in a while, we’d always kept in contact through social media. When Carl got in touch to say he was planning his wedding we couldn’t be more thrilled. Being long time friends, Carl said he didn’t want anyone else photographing their day.

They chose Tynemouth Priory for their venue. It wasn’t a simple case of rocking up at the venue. They had so much to do and so much to organise.

The weather was a little unpredictable for the day, so we headed out with optimism to capture our good friend’s wedding…

We started off at Carl's house with his family and groomsmen. Carl's dad presented him a pocket watch which had been in the family for generations.
After a trip over on the metro, it was off to the pub for a quick pint to settle any nerves.
It was very emotional with the girls. There were lots of gifts and tears as they enjoyed their morning.
The rain wasn't playing ball as Claire arrived in Tynemouth which gave us chance to catch a quick photo of Claire with her dad in the car.
To their surprise, the guests had organised icecreams to be served after the ceremony which needless to say, went down very well.
Claire and Carl had put so much effort into the details of the day and as you can see they all look fantastic.
Guests settle into things at the marquee as we took the bride and groom off for some couple portraits.
After a trip to the rowing club, we headed back to the priory for some group photographs and speeches.
After chucking it down during the meal, the sun came out and we headed out for some more couple portraits, including playing around with some smoke bombs.
From then on it was time for us to let guests relax, have a dance and party the night away.
